Eden Prairie Players launches EPP radio plays
Eden Prairie Players (EPP) has a new online production, EPP Radio Theater. EPP Radio Theater is a new series of short recorded plays for EPP fans to watch.
Designed as a way to continue producing theater for our audiences during the pandemic, the production consists of three plays, Infidelity, Indelible, and The stranger in the storm. Infidelity will premiere on the EPP website on Friday July 9 at 6:00 PM. To watch it, go here.
The other two shows Indelible, and The stranger in the storm will each have their own premiere date this summer. Indelible will premiere on July 23 at 6:00 p.m. and The Stranger In The Storm will premiere on August 13, also at 6:00 p.m. Here you will find information about the entire series.
All three shows will remain online for 30 days and are licensed by agreement with the playwrights. The coins were chosen by the Eden Prairie Player Advisory Board from 100 unreleased coin submissions earlier this year.
The call for applications called for “radio plays or plays that can be adapted for radio”. However, EPP does not broadcast them on the radio but presents a video recording of the studio recording of a radio play.
One of the rooms, Indelible, was written as a Zoom game, so it was also saved in this format.
All three plays are free, but EPP is asking members of the public to consider a voluntary donation to support its ability to provide this type of unique production.
