CCP’s “Lakbay” Featured on Visions of Hope Radio Show – Manila Bulletin
Empowering people with disabilities to make art
This Friday, July 2, 2021 at 5:30 p.m., the radio show Visions of Hope will address and discuss the topic of inclusiveness in artistic events and productions with the empowerment of people with disabilities in artistic creation, as well as the creative process behind the publication of “ANI 41.”
Hosted by the Executive Director of the Christian Foundation for the Disabled, Carla Ajele C. Pendon, Visions of Hope is a radio show that advocates for family and community. This is a project of CFPD, an empowered organization based in Bacolod City that works for a world where people with disabilities are empowered and transformed to their full potential.
Bebang Siy, officer in charge of the CCP’s Intertextual Division, will talk about how “ANI 41: Lakbay”, the latest issue of the official CCP publication, came about. Director Jon Lazam will discuss the online launch of publication and the transformation of literary pieces into performances.
Maria Margaret Pasco, a visually impaired singer from Bacolod City who performed at the launch of “Lakbay”, will share her ideas on how we can empower people with disabilities by hiring them as full artists and performers.
Visions of Hope airs every Friday at 5:30 p.m. Sessions are also broadcast simultaneously via FB live via www.facebook.com/cfpdinc.
