Bandits release kidnapped Zamfara radio producer
Kidnapped Zamfara radio producer Idris Magami was released after seven days.
He was kidnapped by the bandits last Wednesday on his way to his hometown after hours.
Magami, however, refused to disclose the amount collected from him as ransom.
He said: “The bandits were very nice to me throughout my time at their camp.
“There has never been any abuse, but I have seen many abductees suffer all kinds of abuse.
“They used to give me food and also allowed me to observe my five daily prayers, a privilege denied to many of those they abducted.
“I would like to express my sincere thanks and gratitude to many media houses, especially The punch for their quick reporting on my abduction.
“It greatly helped in my quick release from the bandits.”
Magami also praised the people of the state, especially the many listeners to his popular Hausa phone program called ‘Su duniya manya’ (The world is full of surprises).
