Phil Mphela entertainment commentator and media personality Kuli roberts also confirmed his death on Twitter.

The media personality has produced television shows such as 3Talk with Noeleen, Khumbul’ekhaya, Take 5, Thetha daily, and Zola7.

His best-selling book I’m another mess than yesterday is a confessional memoir, which focuses on his troubled childhood filled with alcohol, drugs and sex.

Nkozi went on to become one of Mzansi’s most successful television and radio producers despite his unglamorous upbringing.

He did securities in October 2016, when the radio station allegedly showed him the door to allegedly focus on promoting his book rather than performing his duties at the station.

SABC spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago at the station revealed at the time:

“He was careless and thought his book was more important than his work. We confirm that Msizi Nkosi is no longer with Ukhozi FM.

“He is a freelance writer and as such when the clauses of the contract have not kept the contract is terminated by the station.

“It was not a mutual decision. I cannot comment on the details surrounding the termination as it is a contractual matter between the two parties. “

Nkosi’s family have asked the media and their fans for confidentiality to deal with their loss at this time.

The South African will share more details of his death and funeral arrangements as they become available.
