Armen Amiryan appointed member of the Council of the public television and radio company of Armenia


YREVAN, DECEMBER 16, ARMENPRESS. According to the decree of December 16 of the President of the Republic of Armenia, Serge Sarkissian, Armen Amiryan was appointed member of the Council of Public Television and Radio of Armenia for a period of 6 years. “Armenpress” was informed of this by the Department of Public Relations and Mass Media of the Office of the President of the Republic of Armenia.

Armen Amiryan was born on July 29, 1967 in Yerevan, Armenia. In 1984, he worked in the State Committee of Armenian Television and Radio, as an assistant to the director. In 1985 he joined the advertisers department and worked there until 1997. In 1996, he founded “Ar Radio Intercontinental” Ltd Co and became the chairman of the company. In 1996, he founded the “ArmenAkob” cultural center, which served to carry out various charitable projects in Armenia and abroad. From 1997 to 07.12.2015, Amiryan was General Manager of Armenian National Radio. From 2010 to 2013, he was Director of the Chair of Radio-TV Journalism, Faculty of Culture, Armenian State Pedagogical University after Khachatur Abovyan. In 2015, according to the official decree of Armenian President Serge Sarkissian, Armen Amiryan was awarded the title of Honored Culture Worker of the Republic of Armenia.
